About

I'm a multimedia journalist based out of *insert Canadian city*. Before that, I worked for nearly a decade as a graphic designer and animator.

I was a Senior Designer of news graphics at CBC Manitoba, when I first discovered a passion for storytelling and the craft of journalism. That interest led me to pursue a Master's of Journalism at the University of British Columbia. During my education, I completed an internship at CBC's investigative docu-series The Fifth Estate.
Since graduating, I've been an honoured recipient of the 2023 Joan Donaldson CBC News Scholarship.

The scholarship grants me the chance to work in fast-paced, investigative newsrooms, and help underrepresented stories of all kinds meet their full potential.

In my spare time, I can be found baking bread, volunteering for the Vancouver Tool Library, or on Twitter @CharlesBrockman
